Colgate, Church & Dwight Settle Toothbrush-Package Suit

Law360, New York (February 15, 2012, 12:38 PM EST) -- The company behind the Arm & Hammer brand on Tuesday settled its action against Colgate-Palmolive Co. after suing the company for infringing its patents covering packaging that allows consumers to test out battery-powered toothbrushes before purchase.

U.S. District Judge Mary L. Cooper ordered the case brought by Church & Dwight Co. Inc. dismissed without prejudice, and said each side is to pay its own attorneys’ fees and expenses.

Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
