Proskauer Wants Suits Tied To Stanford Case Paused

Law360, New York (February 15, 2012, 5:50 PM ET) -- Proskauer Rose LLP moved Tuesday to stay six Texas lawsuits that claim the firm protected accused Ponzi schemer Robert Allen Stanford's bank, asking that the suits be paused until a decision is made on moving them into multidistrict litigation.

The New York-based law firm says the six "tag-along" cases are identical to Troice et al. v. Proskauer et al., which brought fraud claims under Texas law tied to Stanford's alleged $7 billion criminal scheme and was dismissed by U.S. District Judge David C. Godbey in October....
