PE Firm Grabs Stake In Chinese Waste Treatment Operator

Law360, New York (February 15, 2012, 5:54 PM EST) -- New Jersey-based private equity firm Hudson Clean Energy Partners has acquired a minority interest in Chinese waste treatment operator GSE Investment Corp. in an effort to bolster its international portfolio of environmentally protective companies, Hudson announced Wednesday.

The investment, whose financial terms were not disclosed, will enable GSEI to build out several expansion and greenfield projects and accelerate its growth in economically developed areas of China, Hudson said. GSEI is controlled by Asia-based private equity firm MBK Partners.
