Athletic Retailer Fights Calif. Ruling Over Customer ZIP Codes

Law360, Los Angeles (February 15, 2012, 10:14 PM EST) -- Sporting goods retailer Big 5 Corp. fought back Wednesday against a California Supreme Court decision putting it on the hook for collecting customer ZIP codes, telling a judge it reasonably relied on its own victories in two lower court cases before the high court found the practice illegal.
