AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile Sued Over Wireless Tech Patents

Law360, New York (February 16, 2012, 3:58 PM ET) -- Intellectual Ventures, a patent-holding company headed by former Microsoft Corp. executive Nathan Myhrvold, launched a suit Thursday claiming units of AT&T Inc., Sprint Nextel Corp. and T-Mobile USA Inc. are infringing 15 wireless communications patents.

The wireless networks of the mobile service giants use a variety of technologies covered by IV's patents, according to the Delaware federal court complaint, which seeks a judgment that the patents are valid, that the defendants are infringing them and damages.
