LA County OKs Permits For Santa Clarita Development

Law360, New York (February 21, 2012, 8:27 PM EST) -- The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved several zoning recommendations and conditional use permits to allow Newhall Land Development Inc. to begin the first phase of its 12,000-acre megadevelopment in Santa Clarita, Calif.

The Board of Supervisors' decisions included approval of the developer's tentative map for the community, the construction of an off-site water utility, the removal of 65 oak trees, a corridor running from the development along Interstate 5 and a stormwater collection site.
