Law360, New York (February 22, 2012, 9:57 PM ET) -- Two attorneys filed a putative class action Wednesday in New York federal court against electronic legal research providers Westlaw and LexisNexis, alleging they illegally copy attorneys' copyrighted works and resell the legal documents for profit.
Oklahoma attorney Edward L. White and New York attorney Kenneth Elan say Thomson Reuters Corp.'s Westlaw and Reed Elsevier Inc.'s LexisNexis are “infringing the rights of the very clients they purport to serve” with their databases.
