Law360, New York (February 23, 2012, 3:35 PM ET) -- The Natural Resources Defense Council sued the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the D.C. Circuit on Thursday, seeking to force action on a 2008 request to ban Agent Orange ingredient 2,4-D, a widely used pesticide linked to cancer and other health problems.
The NRDC told the court that regardless of whether the EPA granted or rejected the petition, the group had a right to an answer on a petition it had lodged three years and three months ago.
