S. Africa OKs Price-Fixing Settlement With Kuehne & Nagel

Law360, Los Angeles (February 23, 2012, 5:56 PM EST) -- South African antitrust regulators on Wednesday signed off on a settlement with Kuehne & Nagel International AG to resolve an investigation into the company's involvement in a price-fixing cartel that imposed extra fees for international freight-forwarding services.

Kuehne & Nagel agreed to pay $125,000 in administrative fines and admitted that its involvement in the cartel violated South Africa's antitrust laws, according to the settlement approved by South Africa's Competition Tribunal.
