New Haven Seeks High Court Review Of Fireman's Bias Suit

Law360, New York (February 23, 2012, 5:55 PM ET) -- The city of New Haven, Conn., last week asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a Second Circuit decision that revived a black firefighter's discrimination suit over the city's 2003 fire lieutenant test, arguing that the appeals court failed to consider the high court’s findings in a closely related case.

New Haven argues in a Feb. 15 petition that a Second Circuit panel improperly rejected a lower court's conclusion that the Supreme Court's ruling over the same exam in Ricci v. DeStefano foreclosed the plaintiff's claim....
