Survey Shows Rising Tensions Between Contractors, Government

Law360, New York (February 24, 2012, 7:48 PM EST) -- Contractors have reported greater tensions with their government counterparts during the past year and said the government was less and less efficient at solving disputes, according to an industry survey released Feb. 20 by auditing firm Grant Thornton LLP.

Grant Thornton, which does extensive work for contractors, surveyed a number of small, mid-sized and large contractors in 24 states, and found that the relationship between contractors and government auditors and contracting officers “has deteriorated during the past year.”
