Billboard Ban Doesn't Restrict Free Speech, 3rd Circ. Told

Law360, New York (February 24, 2012, 4:51 PM EST) -- A Philadelphia suburb urged the Third Circuit on Thursday to toss a free speech appeal by Interstate Outdoor Advertising LP over the township’s billboard ban, saying advertisers had ample forms of communication available to them other than billboards. 

Mount Laurel, N.J. — which is situated less than 30 minutes outside Philadelphia at the intersection of I-295 and the New Jersey turnpike — asked the Third Circuit to uphold U.S. District Judge Robert B. Kugler’s decision awarding the township summary judgment.
