Army Lowballed Workload Estimate In Bid Request: GAO

Law360, New York (February 24, 2012, 6:41 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office released a decision Friday that sustained InfraMap Corp.'s protest of a U.S. Army contract for underground utilities work at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, saying the bid request did not accurately reflect the amount of work expected.

The GAO, in a decision dated Feb. 6, said the Army's request for proposal did not reasonably account for the workload expected in connection with electric cable burial, and thus did not reflect a reasonably accurate representation of the agency's anticipated needs.
