Law360, New York (February 27, 2012, 3:29 PM ET) -- A former contractor for real estate-focused private equity firm Transcendent Investments LLC sued the company Friday, claiming it had torpedoed his plans to build a real estate venture by defaming him to potential investor The Lightstone Group LLC.
Transcendent, which does business as Transcendent Investment Management, told Lightstone’s chief financial officer that Harold Willig had been fired for stealing information when he refused to turn over passwords for the custom spreadsheets he designed for TIM, Willig claimed in a complaint filed in New York Supreme Court....
