Nissan Recalls 79K Cars Over Gas Leak Defect

Law360, New York (February 27, 2012, 12:51 PM EST) -- U.S. authorities announced over the weekend that Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. was recalling more than 79,000 vehicles due to a defect that could cause a fuel leak, just after the company issued separate recalls in Brazil over hood and steering box issues.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that Nissan was calling back model year 2011-2012 Infiniti M, Infiniti QX and Juke models. The cars' fuel pressure sensors may not have been tightened correctly, which could cause the equipment to loosen from heat and vibration...
