SpeedTrack Bids To Merge Patent Suits

Law360, New York (August 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- SpeedTrack Inc. has asked a judge to consider whether two separately filed patent lawsuits over methods for accessing information from a data storage system should be consolidated.

The data management company said in court documents filed Wednesday that the court should consider whether its recently filed case against Office Depot Inc. should be related to its case against Wal-Mart Stores Inc., which is currently pending before a separate judge, Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton, in the same district court.
