Law360, Washington (February 27, 2012, 7:02 PM ET) -- A generic-drug maker issued a voluntary nationwide recall on Friday for seven lots of oral birth control tablets after discovering that defective packaging had flipped the pills in blister packs and could leave women without adequate protection from pregnancy.
Glenmark Generics Inc. recalled the Norgestimate and Ethinyl Estradiol pills after discovering that blister packs of the tablets had been rotated 180 degrees, reversing the weekly tablet orientation and obscuring the lot number and expiration date, the company said.
