JibJab, Toyota Resolve Ad Copyright Suit

Law360, New York (February 28, 2012, 11:54 AM EST) -- Humor website producer JibJab Media Inc. on Monday settled its suit against Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. and others, nixing claims that one of the Japanese automaker's Presidents Day sale ads infringed its copyrighted viral videos and trademark.

U.S. District Judge Judge Manuel L. Real of the Central District of California ordered the case dismissed with prejudice, but retained jurisdiction to enforce the settlement agreement, according to his order.
