Law360, New York (February 28, 2012, 8:07 PM ET) -- The Federal Trade Commission will require Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. to sell 60 outpatient dialysis clinics to resolve the FTC's claims that the company's proposed $2.1 billion acquisition of Liberty Dialysis Holdings Inc. would be anti-competitive, the agency said Tuesday.
Fresenius will have to divest clinics in 43 local markets in order to gain regulatory approval for the deal under a proposed consent order, the FTC said.
