FTC Readies Online Disclosure Guidance For Advertisers

Law360, New York (February 29, 2012, 8:46 PM EST) -- The Federal Trade Commission on Wednesday moved forward with its efforts to offer updated guidance on how advertisers can craft effective disclosures online and on mobile devices despite the limited space available on those platforms.

Following through on previous promises, the FTC revealed that it is planning to host a day-long public workshop on May 30 to consider the need for new guidance for online advertisers about making clear and conspicuous disclosures in the current online and mobile advertising environment.
