Law360, New York (March 02, 2012, 5:14 PM ET) -- Sens. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., and Jim Webb, D-Va., on Thursday called for an overhaul of the government's process for wartime contracts, prompted by a panel's finding of up to $60 billion of contract waste and fraud in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Their bill, the Comprehensive Contingency Contracting Reform Act of 2012, focuses on elevating government oversight over contracts, improving management structures and expanding planning requirements.
