Miami Hotel Owners Sue Marriott Over $200M Overhaul

Law360, New York (March 2, 2012, 5:17 PM EST) -- Marriott International Inc. was sued in New York state court Thursday for allegedly misleading the owners of a Miami boutique hotel it manages into a $200 million renovation of the property based on false promises.

Eden Roc LLLP says the hospitality giant promised to reposition the Eden Roc Renaissance to be more competitive in the luxury boutique market, but instead mismanaged the property and subsequently launched two brands that now directly compete with the hotel.
