Rambus Patents Not Infringed By Chipmakers, Says ITC Judge

Law360, New York (March 2, 2012, 8:53 PM EST) -- Semiconductor manufacturers LSI Corp., MediaTek Inc., STMicroelectronics and others did not infringe the intellectual property of patent-licensing company Rambus Inc., a U.S. International Trade Commission judge ruled Friday.

Administrative Law Judge Theodore Essex found in his initial determination that no violation of Section 337 of the Tariff Act had occurred in the importation into the U.S. of certain semiconductor chips and related products.

The chipmakers were accused of infringing U.S. Patents Numbers 6,470,405; 6,591,353; 7,287,109; 7,602,857; and 7,715,494.
