Acacia Technologies Sues On Command Over Streaming Technology

Law360, New York (November 13, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Acacia Research Corporation filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the District Court for the Central District of California against On Command Corporation regarding Acacia's Digital Media Transmission ("DMT") technology, the company said in a statement.

The patents in question relate to audio and video transmission and receiving systems, commonly known as audio-on-demand, video-on-demand, and audio/video streaming. The technology is used for distributing digital content via several means including the internet, cable television, and wireless systems, Acadia said.
