Complaints Against NY Judges Fall In 2011

Law360, New York (March 5, 2012, 11:09 PM EST) -- Complaints against New York judges and subsequent investigations into misconduct decreased in 2011, according to an annual report released Monday by the state's Commission on Judicial Conduct.

The commission received 1,818 complaints against judges, down from 2,025 in 2010, the report said. The 2011 total still ranks as the fourth highest total number of complaints in the commission's 34-year history, according to the report.
