Judge Says Nepalis' Suit Against Contractor Belongs In US

Law360, New York (March 06, 2012, 2:49 PM ET) -- A Jordanian contractor accused of trafficking Nepalese workers who were executed by Iraqi insurgents must fight the suit in U.S. court, a Texas federal judge affirmed Friday, noting the company earned all of its business from the U.S.

In rejecting Daoud & Partners’ bid to appeal an order finding the federal court had jurisdiction, U.S. District Judge Keith Ellison found that there wasn’t a substantial chance that courts would have differing opinions on that issue, nor that an immediate decision on it would advance the litigation....
