KKR Teams Up With Chesapeake In $250M Energy Venture

Law360, New York (March 6, 2012, 1:00 PM EST) -- KKR & Co. has launched a $250 million partnership with Chesapeake Energy Corp. to invest oil and gas royalty interests, the companies said Tuesday, the latest in a frenzied string of private equity deal-making in the energy sector.

Chesapeake, the second-largest U.S. producer of natural gas, will contribute 10 percent of the seed money and will focus on finding and managing the investments.
