Canadian Pacific Plans Rail Hub For Bakken Oil

Law360, New York (March 06, 2012, 5:45 PM ET) -- Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. will develop a 35,000-barrel-per-day rail terminal alongside Houston-based U.S. Development Group LLC to transport oil from the Bakken Shale in North Dakota to market hubs further south, the companies said Tuesday.

USD will build and operate the new terminal in Van Hook, N.D., and Canadian Pacific — whose rail network runs east through Minneapolis and Chicago and eventually to Kansas City, Mo. — will be the exclusive shipper, company sources told Law360.
