Law360, New York (March 07, 2012, 3:02 PM ET) -- The Oklahoma Supreme Court on Tuesday threw out a $10 million jury verdict against Tyson Foods Inc., finding contracted chicken growers are not covered under state consumer protection laws — an opinion that could benefit the company in many other lawsuits in the state.
In an 8-0 ruling, the court also said Tyson should get a new trial at the state district court level because several jurors misled the court about their qualifications during voir dire.
