Enviros Sue For Better EPA Aircraft Fuel Lead Regulations

Law360, New York (March 8, 2012, 1:07 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has violated the Clean Air Act by not properly regulating lead gas emissions from aviation fuel, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Washington federal court by environmental advocacy group Friends of the Earth.

The lawsuit alleges the EPA has ignored a 2006 petition by Friends of the Earth asking the agency to study and impose regulations on aviation fuel emissions.
