House Small Business Panel OKs 6 Contracting Bills

Law360, New York (March 8, 2012, 8:19 PM EST) -- The House Small Business Committee advanced six pieces of legislation aimed at steering more government contracts to small businesses and providing support for startups seeking contracts to the floor on Wednesday.

Rep. Mark S. Critz, D-Pa., the sponsor of one of the bills, noted in a release that small businesses employ half of all private sector employees and generate 65 percent of net new jobs created over the past 17 years.
