Graham Pushes Bill To Force Obama To Rethink Yucca

Law360, New York (March 12, 2012, 3:37 PM EDT) -- Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Monday that he had introduced a bill that would force President Barack Obama to either recommit to Yucca Mountain as a nuclear waste repository or to disperse fees collected for a waste program to consumers and utilities.

S. 2176, the Nuclear Waste Fund Relief and Rebate Act, would require the president to certify the Yucca site in Nevada as the federal government's first choice for the storage of the nation's nuclear waste. The Obama administration formally moved to abandon the site...
