Solis Pressed On DOL's In-Home Care, Child Safety Regs

Law360, New York (March 14, 2012, 2:38 PM EDT) -- Republican senators grilled Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis at a congressional hearing on the U.S. Department of Labor's 2013 budget request Wednesday about proposals that aim to require overtime pay for in-home care workers and step up safety requirements for young farm workers.

Solis testified before a Senate Appropriations subcommittee at a hearing on the agency's bid for $12 billion in discretionary budget authority, slightly less than the $12.6 billion the DOL got in 2012.
