Judge Leaves Room For Leftovers In Samsung Fridge Suit

Law360, New York (March 12, 2012, 7:16 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Monday tossed a proposed class action accusing Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. of knowingly selling consumers defective refrigerators and refusing to extend their warranties, though he allowed the plaintiffs to amend all but one claim.

U.S. District Judge William J. Martini dismissed claims for violation of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, fraudulent concealment or nondisclosure, and breach of implied warranty, but told the plaintiffs they could replead the allegations. He dismissed their unjust enrichment claim with prejudice.
