EU Questions Telecom Cos. Over Mobile Standardization

Law360, New York (March 14, 2012, 1:51 PM EDT) -- The European Union’s antitrust watchdog said on Wednesday it has requested information from five of Europe’s largest telecommunications companies, including Telefonica SA and Vodafone Group PLC, regarding standardization of future services in the mobile communications market.

The European Commission said it has also requested information from Telecom Italia, France Telecom SA and Deutsche Telekom AG, along with the mobile operators’ trade group the GSM Association.
