Judge OKs Chevron ZIP Code Collection At Calif. Pumps

Law360, Los Angeles (March 14, 2012, 4:07 PM EDT) -- A California judge on Wednesday threw out class action claims that Chevron Corp. violated a Golden State consumer protection law by collecting ZIP codes from customers who paid for gas by credit card, saying the fraud-prevention measure was allowed under the law.
