Warner Chilcott Settles Another Ovcon Suit For $10M

Law360, New York (August 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Specialty pharmaceutical company Warner Chilcott Ltd. said Thursday that it would pay $10 million to settle a pair of antitrust lawsuits brought by direct purchasers of the oral contraceptive Ovcon 35.

Under the settlement, which is still subject to court approval, all claims will be dismissed and the litigation terminated in exchange for the cash payment. Though the settling plaintiffs held claims for the majority of the damages being sought, a third class action is still pending, Warner Chilcott disclosed.
