9th Circ. Says Pension Summary Flaws Don't Warrant Damages

Law360, New York (March 16, 2012, 6:04 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Friday said that inaccuracies in pension plan summary documents alone do not warrant compensatory damages and affirmed a lower court’s decision in favor of Northrop Grumman Corp. in an Employee Retirement Income Security Act class action by former employees.
