InterDigital Sues Nokia Over 3G Phone

Law360, New York (August 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Finnish cell phone manufacturer Nokia Corp. was hit Tuesday with a patent infringement suit that alleges one of the company’s 3G mobile handsets infringes two patents relating to wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) systems.

In a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, InterDigital Communications LLC and InterDigital Technology Corp. allege that Nokia’s N75 handset and its components infringe on two InterDigital WCDMA patents.
