Judge Doubts 'Double Recovery' Idea For WTC Developers

Law360, New York (March 19, 2012, 7:23 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge said during a hearing Monday that he didn't think World Trade Center developers would be paid twice if they won a share of a $1.2 billion insurance settlement over property damage from 9/11.

"I don't see why it's a double recovery," Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein told attorneys during a hearing in his downtown Manhattan courtroom.
