DOC Head Vows To Cut Patent Backlog In Half By 2015

Law360, New York (March 22, 2012, 2:59 PM EDT) -- The backlog of applications at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will be slashed in half by 2015 with the help of 1,500 extra patent examiners, the secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce said Thursday at a Senate hearing.
