TriWest Loses $20B Military Health Deal After Fraud Fine

Law360, New York (March 20, 2012, 4:35 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Defense awarded an estimated $20.4 billion contract to UnitedHealthcare on Monday, ending TriWest Healthcare Alliance's 16-year run as the military's primary medical insurance provider in the western United States just months after TriWest agreed to pay $10 million over fraudulent billing.
