ITC Maintains Brass Sheet Duties On France, Japan, Others

Law360, New York (March 21, 2012, 6:42 PM EDT) -- Long-standing anti-dumping duty orders on brass sheet and strip from France, Germany, Italy and Japan will stay in place as a result of the U.S. International Trade Commission's determination Wednesday that revoking the orders would probably hurt domestic producers.

The orders were undergoing their third sunset, or five-year, reviews, which were instituted in March 2011. The U.S. Department of Commerce issued anti-dumping duty orders on the products at issue in the late '80s, and then issued two continuations of the orders, effective in 2000 and 2006....
