Law360, New York (March 21, 2012, 8:26 PM ET) -- Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Co. has hired restructuring advisers from The Blackstone Group LP as the book publisher aims to shelve its debt burdens, a person familiar with the matter said Wednesday.
The Boston-based publisher of educational textbooks, fiction and nonfiction books has also retained Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP, according to a spokesman for Houghton Mifflin, Josef Blumenfeld. The Wall Street Journal first reported both hirings Tuesday.
