Judge Blasts Rambus Over 'Dishonest' Testimony

Law360, New York (March 20, 2012, 11:05 PM EDT) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission judge blasted Rambus Inc. for improperly destroying documents and offering "dishonest" witnesses with “selective memories” in a decision made public Friday, finding five of the patent-licensing company’s patents invalid in its fight with semiconductor manufacturers.

Administrative Law Judge Theodore Essex said in a 380-page ruling that Rambus' witnesses, including former Rambus vice president for intellectual property Joel Karp, had not given credible testimony that could be verified by evidence and had not been forthcoming with responses.
