E-Discovery Costs On The Rise, Survey Finds

Law360, New York (March 22, 2012, 3:27 PM EDT) -- Electronic discovery costs rose last year and will likely continue to increase through 2013 as firms continue to adapt to new technology like cloud computing and social networking, according to survey results released by Robert Half Legal eDiscovery Services Thursday.

Robert Half Legal, a professional staffing firm, said 23 percent of lawyers interviewed said their firms or corporate legal departments saw increased e-discovery costs last year; 71 percent said costs remained essentially unchanged; and only 2 percent said spending went down.
