Ratchaburi, KK Power Form 1,800-MW Cambodian Coal Venture

Law360, New York (March 26, 2012, 2:30 PM EDT) -- Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PLC has entered into a joint venture agreement with KK Power Co. Ltd. to develop a 1,800-megawatt coal-fired power plant in Cambodia's Koh Kong province, Ratchaburi said Monday.

The plant will be built over the next five years in connection with the 50-50 venture, with the first phase consisting of a small plant with 10 to 100 megawatts of generating capacity, according to Ratchaburi CEO Peerawat Pumthong.
