Judge Doubles Broadcom's Award In Qualcomm Suit

Law360, New York (August 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge on Friday suggested doubling the $19.6 million award that telecommunications company Qualcomm Inc. will pay to rival Broadcom Inc., the latest in a series of rulings against the company.

“The court finds that, on balance, the totality of the circumstances merits an increase in the damages award,” wrote Judge James Selna of the Central District of California.
