Libor Panel Includes Banks Named In Rate-Fixing Probes

Law360, New York (March 28, 2012, 7:20 PM EDT) -- The British Bankers' Association on Wednesday announced more details of its review of the London Interbank Offered Rate, naming a review steering committee that includes Barclays PLC and Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC, both under U.S. investigation for allegedly manipulating the rate.

The review will work to come up with "a rigorous code of requirements for all contributors" to the rate, known as Libor, that is widely used to measure the health of world lending markets and to set other interest rates around the globe....
