Investors Urge Drillers To Cut Gas Flaring

Law360, New York (March 29, 2012, 4:15 PM EDT) -- An investor group representing $500 billion in assets urged Exxon Mobil Corp., Chesapeake Energy Corp. and 19 other energy drillers on Wednesday to control flaring, a sign that the practice — burning gas off to access more valuable oil — is as troubling to some backers as it is to environmental groups.
